Case Study #1
In the Fall of 2018, one of our association customers held a leadership forum for 500 at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott and asked us for ideas on how to create a modern look to the stage in the ballroom with a premium audiovisual experience. Our client also wanted to create a luxury feel to the lighting on the Vue Lawn at the resort and highlight some of their sponsors. Their budget was $70,000 total.
In the general session, we used white stretch fabric on an aluminum frame instead of drape to create a very clean look and provide a lot of lighting and color flexibility. We used two large screens on the outside to drive video content and IMAG. We used the center screen as a logo hold and to highlight sponsors. To manage costs, we used free standing truss instead of rigging and partnered with the in-house AV team to use the existing lighting bars in the ceiling. On the lawn for the reception, we brought in string lighting, a distributed sound system and projected gobos on the side of the building to create the luxury ambience our client requested.
Case Study #2
The recently added Breakwater Ballroom at the Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach is one of the best in Orange County for AV production. The ballroom offers 20’ ceilings, colored LED house lighting, an easy load in and the hotel staff is great to work with. We often advise customers to consider this venue when they’re looking at space in Orange County.
In the spring of 2019, we had the chance to work with a corporate client in the technology space for the first time at the Waterfront Beach Resort. The event was their annual sales kickoff and was the first time their new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) was leading the event. He wanted to deliver a clear message on their new direction, interact with the crowd on a personal level and create excitement within the sales team. To deliver on his vision, we partnered with a Olsen Visuals to create a custom hard set, built a custom stage that allowed presenters to walk into the audience, lined it with LED lights that matched their brand, created custom video content, added multiple cameras, included both a show caller and stage manager to nail the timing of cues and leveraged catch boxes to help make Q&A fun. Not only did the CRO mention it was the best AV Production experience of his career, we came in under their $135,000 budget.
Case Study #3
The Pacific Ballroom at the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point has 21’ ceilings and provided excellent sight lines for an event we produced in the summer of 2019 for one of our corporate clients. We love working with this client as they have a talented in-house marketing team that is willing and able to design content for LED wall displays we design with unique pixel maps. For their customer forum, they wanted a premium audiovisual experience and an immersive experience that conveyed their innovative brand. Our team built out a number of concepts for the client and we landed on a center 3:1 LED wall with vertical and horizontal columns on either side. The event was a great success and delivered strong ROI on our clients $150,000+ budget.
